Prayers for Knowledge
Don't waste your breath or your thoughts praying for knowledge. All there is to know and all there is to be discovered is already freely yours. Seize your opportunities to learn and then persevere until you've reached the understanding you desire.
You may want to go to college or a particular college to learn. But first, examine the nature of what you want. Is it knowledge you seek, or is it a boost to your reputation? Despite tradition and the advice of your high school guidance counselor, knowledge isn't locked up in university libraries and classrooms where it can only be accessed by admitted students. It is everywhere and easily accessible through Google, books, YouTube, ChatGPT, and the people around you.
If knowledge is your goal, then set your sights on what you want to learn and go learn it. Read and watch whatever it takes, and talk to whomever it takes to understand what you want to know. You don't need large sums of money, an admissions letter, or permission from anyone to learn. However, if admission to a social club and an ego boost are what you're after, don't limit your imagination to college just because all of your friends are doing it. Query whether there are bigger ego boosts and better social clubs you can join for $160,000.
